Internet: Why is it important?

I believe internet media is a virtual place where people of all ages, races, religions, etc. can come together and retrieve any kind of information they are looking for. For example, if i needed to look up a definition, I can just go on google and search it, not only will I get the definition but I will have many sources for the term, so I know the definition is correct. I think mostly all people at least use the internet once a day. It informs us on daily weather, breaking news, etc. There are many different weather sources on the internet and you can compare them to see what will most likely be the accurate weather. The internet opens up valuable information to us in a matter of seconds. However, the internet has information that is not always accurate and it is up to the viewer to look for other sources to maybe see their best option for what they are searching. Some people don’t take advantage of the internet and its uses, which is OK, but I personally think that they are missing out on a great information system.

  1. I agree with this as well. The view must do as must research as possible to make sure that all of the information he or she is taking from a website it accurate. However, some people do rely on certain websites that aren’t reliable and are not willing to go out of their way to find out if something is true or false. It all comes down to whether the viewer is willing to do the research or not.
